Glowing Orbs, Shape-Shifting Lights, and the Most Intriguing Cases Yet
The third UAP release, consisting of 72 newly declassified files from the Pentagon, FBI, and CIA, generated the greatest public attention of the three disclosures. The files focused heavily on reports of luminous orb-like objects observed across the northeastern United States and other locations. Many of the incidents involved phenomena that investigators could not conclusively explain.
KEY FINDINGS
THE "ORBS OVER THE POND" CASE
One of the most notable investigations involved a secluded pond in the northeastern United States where witnesses reported recurring orb activity between 2021 and 2025. According to released records, FBI personnel visited the location and observed unusual lights displaying erratic movement and color changes. Some reports described apparent replication of the lights and unexplained hovering behavior. Investigators documented the sightings but did not determine a definitive cause.
SHAPE-CHANGING AND SPLITTING OBJECTS
Several witnesses described glowing objects that appeared to divide into smaller lights or alter their shape while airborne. One report described a plasma-like object hovering over a pond before changing form and separating into multiple lights. Such reports attracted attention because they do not neatly fit traditional aircraft or drone descriptions. Investigators, however, stopped short of attributing the events to extraordinary causes.
THE "WHITE PLASMA SUN"
Among the most unusual descriptions was a report involving a glowing red sphere containing what witnesses described as a "white plasma sun" at its center. The government released testimony and imagery associated with the case but provided no official explanation for the phenomenon.
INTERNATIONAL AND HISTORICAL CASES
The release also included historical CIA material describing a disc-like object observed over an airport in Zimbabwe and additional reports from military personnel who described unusual lights and structured craft-like objects. These cases illustrated that the government's UAP archives extend well beyond recent U.S.-based incidents.
THE "POTATO-SHAPED" OBJECT
A particularly unusual military report described a shimmering object observed near Colorado Springs in 2022. Witnesses characterized it as potato-shaped with irregular surface features. Investigators considered possible optical explanations but ultimately classified the assessment as low confidence and left the case unresolved.
WHAT STOOD OUT
The third release was the most visually compelling and included the greatest number of cases involving direct observation by federal personnel. Yet the overall conclusion remained consistent with previous disclosures: several incidents remain unexplained, investigators continue to collect data, and no released document confirms extraterrestrial origin, recovered alien technology, or non-human intelligence.
OVERALL ASSESSMENT: ALL THREE RELEASES
Across all three PURSUE releases, the strongest conclusion is not that the government has confirmed aliens, but that it has acknowledged the existence of a persistent category of aerial and anomalous observations that are not yet fully understood. The disclosures reveal three important realities.
